As you already know the installed Qualcomm driver on your PC is required for identifying and then flashing your smartphone device. For example if you connect your Xiaomi device to PC and it isn’t identified, that basically means that your PC is missing the required driver.

The driver is available for different Windows OS versions including 7 & Windows 10.

There are two ways on how to install the Qualcomm HS-USB driver. First and easy way is to use the automatic installer and the second way is to install drivers manually. Let’s check both methods.

How to install automatically install HS-USB QDLoader 9008?

1. Download archive with latest version of Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 and unpack on your PC.
   1. QDLoaderHS_USB_Driver_64bit_Setup.exe
   2. QDLoaderHS_USB_Driver_32bit_Setup.exe
2. You’ll find two different installers, one for 32bits and 64bits OS.
3. Run the setup.

How to Use Mi A2 Toolkit to Root Mi A2

Before starting the rooting procedure, you must have an unlocked bootloader on your Xiaomi Mi A2. But no worries, we have you covered.Unlocking your bootloader is explained in the steps below.

Note: All data will be wiped during the bootloader unlocking procedure. Make sure you backup all important data from your device.

Now, follow all the steps correctly,and you will gain root access on your device.

1. First, enable developer mode on your device. (Go to Settings and then open About phone. Now tap 7 times on MIUI Version.)
2. Next, navigate to developer options and enable USB debugging and OEM unlocking.
3. Install ADB and Fastboot drivers on your PC/Laptop. (You can download the minimal setup from the following link.)
4. Connect you Mi A2 phone (while turned on) and allow USB debugging when asked.
5. Now, boot your smartphone into fastboot mode (Turn it off and press and hold Volume Down + Power a the same time.)

7. Type the following command and hit Enter:
   fastboot OEM unlock

9. Boot your device into fastboot again (as described above) and connect to your PC if it isn’t already.
10. Now download patched boot.img (August months V9.6.10.0.ODIMIFE, August 5 2018).
    Note: Do not use it if you are on any other month patch.
11. Copy the patched_boot.img you just downloaded to the ADB folder.
12. Launch Comand Prompt (PowerShell) and run the following command:

    fastboot boot patched_boot.img

This will boot your device.

13. Now, download Magisk Manager apk and install it on your device.
14. Launch Magisk Manager and click on install. Then choose Direct Install (recommended). It will download the magisk zip package and automatically flash it.

Once this is done, just reboot your Mi A2 and you are done. Enjoy your rooted Xiaomi Mi A2.

New Official Release – TWRP 3.2.1-0 for Redmi 5A

The Xiaomi Redmi 5a has 5.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display. Further, it has a display of 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. Moreover, it has 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB of RAM. The Redmi 5a has 16/32 GB internal storage. It has a dual camera with 13 megapixels back and 5 megapixels front camera. Further, it has non-removable Li-Ion 300 mAh battery. What’s more, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and it will soon get Android 8.0 Oreo update.

What is TWRP?

Team Win Recovery Project (or TWRP in short) is an Android Custom Recovery initiated in 2011 with full touch UI. The recovery brought in and made a new trend of Touch-based recoveries.
