I have tried all the steps stated in this article and I am still unable to get notifications from most of my apps. (yahoomail, Twitter, Facebook, gmail, skype etc).

The last step on switching off memory optimizations. In my current ROM which is 12.5.8, the developer options doesn’t have a memory optimization option.

I can only see “MIUI Optimization”. Do they mean the same thing?
