During calls, if I put on the speakerphone, I can hear the caller. As for playing audio on your etc, only when I connect to headphones I can hear audio.

This is really annoying. I cant use the new mi4 phone which I bought only 4 days ago on mi.com website. Please help.

I cannot find the described option in latest (at the moment of writing) MIUI 8.2.1.0 | Stable ROM.
