]]> Hi, guys! Here’s a short tutorial on how you can easily install and use Google Services on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A without installing the Global ROM. We’ll try to keep things as simple as possible, so that you are not required to be an advanced user to proceed with this guide.

Install Google Play and Google Market on Redmi Note 5A with China MIUI ROM

Just in case – don’t forget to backup your data before doing any manipulations with your phone! Only you responsible for any possible issues.

  1. Download Google Services archive to your device: Mi6-Google-Play.zip (this was made for Xiaomi Mi6 phone, but will also work fine on Redmi Note 5A as well).
  2. Unpack download archive on your phone.
  3. Open file explorer application on your phone and go to unpacked Mi6-Google-Play folder. Then open the “AllBackup” folder, inside you’ll see “Mi6” folder, use “Cut” tool on it and move to “miui > backup > AllBackup”.
  4. Now go to “Settings” > “Advanced settings” > “Restore and reset” > “Local backups”. You should see the available backup here. Tap on it to start recovery.
  5. After the backup has been restored Google Play icon should appear on your screen.
  6. That’s it! No need to use TWRP or install Global ROM.

If this method doesn’t work for you, then try to use the Google Installer 3.0, simply download the .apk archive below and install like a usual application: GoogleInstaller_3.0.apk

With the release of Global Stable ROM for Redmi 4 Prime, many users have discovered that it contains the fully loaded package of Google Applications. Some of us really wanted to delete (or at least turn off) some of them. Sadly, developers didn’t put that options. For that purpose you can use the guide below.

Please pay attention: You can’t turn off “Google Play Services” “Google Search” and “Gboard” applications, otherwise you’ll get a bootloop on your Redmi 4 Prime. Also pay attention, that we’re not responsible for any possible issues, you do everything at your own risk!

Turn off Google Applications on Redmi 4 Prime Global MIUI ROM

  1. First it’s recommended to change system language to English (USA).
  2. Run “Google Play Store” and go to “Help & Feedback” settings.
  3. Now select “Browse all articles”.
  4. Next find and go to “Uninstall, disable & delete apps”.
  5. Search for “Tap to go to Application Settings”.
  6. A window with a list of applications should open. Select the app you would like to turn off and click on it.
  7. Now you should see a “Disable” tab. Tap on it and select “Disable app”.
  8. Congratulations! You’ve successfully disabled it! Now you can go back to the list of the apps, and repeat the same steps to disable other application. Also it’s possible to enable them again.
