Restore IMEI on HomTom HT3 Android Device

1. Download and unpack this archive: restore_imei.zip
2. Use Notepad++ or other text editor software and open run.bat
3. Add your IMEI code, for example: imei.exe IMEI1 IMEI2
4. Save the file with your IMEI.
5. Start run.bat, if everything was done correctly, the file MP0B_001 will be created.
6. Copy MP0B_001 into phone SD Card or internal memory.
7. Download and install Root Browser or ES Explorer app.
8. Now using the file explorer, copy and replace MP0B_001 file to /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001
9. Reboot your device.
10. IMEI should be now restored and working.

Otherwise, you can try enable root by using KingoRoot software. Simply download and install KingoRoot on your PC or laptop and follow the instructions on the screen.

Root HomTom HT3 using stock recovery mode

Before continuing, it’s recommended to make a full backup of your device.

1. Download this archive: update-root-HT3.zip
2. Copy downloaded update-root-HT3.zip archive to SD card. Do not copy it to phone internal memory, it won’t work that way.
3. Boot into recovery mode. Turn off your device, press and hold “Power” and “Volume Up” button until you’ll see a menu on a screen. Use “Volume Up” button to navigate, select “Recovery” and press “Volume Down” to continue.
4. You should see Android logo and “No command” or similar message. Press “Power” + “Volume Up” buttons. Now you should be in recovery mode. Use volume buttons to navigate and select “Apply update from sdcard”. Select update-root-HT3.zip and press “Power” button to continue.
5. After installation is completed, select “Reboot system now”.
6. That’s it! You’ve successfully enabled root on your HomTom HT3 device.
7. To remove root, simply delete SuperSU app.

Flash HomTom HT3 with SP Flash Tool

1. Download and unpack SP Flash Tool to C:\SPFlashTool and run Flash_tool.exe
2. Select scatter file “Android_scatter_emmc.txt” from downloaded ROM.
3. Wait until ROM files are added to SP Flash Tool.
4. Now select “Download Only”. If you’re updating the currently installed ROM to the newest version select “Firmware Upgrade”.
5. Turn off your HomTom HT3 device.
6. Press F9 or Download button to start flashing. If you’re updating currently installed ROM select “Firmware” > “Upgrade”.
7. Now connect your device to PC via USB.
8. The progress will begin.
9. You should see a green circle icon when the flashing is completed.
10. Close SP Flash Tool.
11. Now disconnect your device from PC, wait for one minute and start HomTom HT3.

Flash HomTom HT3 with CWM

1. Download the ROM file you want to flash on your device.
2. Connect the HomTom HT3 to the computer via USB.
3. Copy ROM .zip file and GAPPS (this is optionally, in case you need them and they’re not inbuilt in your ROM) into the phone internal memory or SD-card.
4. Boot into recovery mode. Use volume buttons to navigate and “Power” button to select.
5. In recovery select “Wipe” and reset your device completely before flashing new ROM. Pay attention! This will delete all data from your device, so make all required backups of your important personal data. Remember to save your backup!
6. After successful wipe, click on “Install zip”.
7. Select ROM .zip file from phone internal memory or SD-card.
8. In the bottom you should see name of your ROM.
9. In the pop up window select “Yes” > “Install” to confirm installation.
10. Wait until ROM is installed and then select “Reboot Phone”.
11. ROM should be installed and logo should appear on device screen. Wait 5 minutes until ROM is fully installed on your HomTom HT3 device.

How to update HomTom HT3 with SP Flash Tool

Here’s a method on how you can update your HomTom HT3 device without deleting all data. Here’s what we’ll need:

1. Download and install all required drivers for HomTom HT3
2. Download and unpack SP Flash Tool.
3. Download required ROM for HomTom HT3.

Now we can continue installing ROM: 

1. Start SP Flash Tool.
2. Select scatter file “Android_scatter_emmc.txt” from downloaded ROM.
