The Downloading Procedure

1. Download and install MI Theme Editor and ifont apps on your device.
2. After you install these apps, open the ifont app, and you can see many fonts on the app.
3. Select the fonts you want to download and tap the Download button.
4. Once you download the fonts, click on the Theme download button. It is located in the top right corner. Now select OK and OK once again.

The Installing Procedure

1. Launch the MI Theme Editor on your device. You will be able to see options like Start and Browse.
2. Click the Browse button to chose previously downloaded font.
3. When the file manager loads up on your screen, go to the MIUI Theme folder and choose the font that you saved on your device.
4. Tap on the Start button in the MI Theme editor, to create the font theme. When redirected on the next page, do not select anything, and just tap on the NEXT button.
5. Next, check the “Edit file name or path” and rename the fonts. Make sure you name the theme, so you will know which theme you created.
6. Once you create the theme, open the Theme app on your device and tap the user button located in the bottom right corner.
7. When redirected to the next screen, tap on the Themes option.
8. Next, choose the Import Option.
9. Once again, go to the MIUI Theme folder and select the new fonts that you created using the MI Theme editor. Then tap OK (it is located below).
10. The last thing you need to do in this procedure is to tap on the green Apply button and reboot your device.
11. Once your phone boots up, you have the new fonts installed on it.

Overview of Global Stable 9.2.3.0 MIUI ROM for Redmi 4X

What really pleased me is that now unread Gmail messages are displayed with all additional information including message subject. This feature was missing in 9.1.1.0 ROM version and I’m very happy that it’s back it the 9.2.3.0. As for battery life I didn’t yet noticed is it better than it was on the previous version. The 9.2.3.0 MIUI ROM also includes few new applications. These are “Mi Video” and “Mi Mover” applications. The “Mi Video”, as one can understand from the title, is an video viewing application and “Mi Mover” is a very convenient backup tool.

Tutorial on how to update Mi4S (aqua) to MIUI9

So, let’s get started with Android 7 MIUI 9 ROM installation. You can download latest ROMs for Xiaomi Mi4S here.

1. First of all, you must request official unlock permission from MIUI.
2. Download MiFlash and install the official China ROM.
3. Start your phone, enable developer options, USB debugging and OEM unlock (otherwise, MiUnlock won’t work). After you’ve enabled these options, MiUnlock will go further 50%.
4. Now unlock the bootloader.

How to install?

1. Make sure you’ve unlocked bootloader! If you haven’t yet, then go to http://en.miui.com/unlock/
2. Install TWRP Custom Recovery via fastboot mode using these commands:

   fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
   fastboot boot twrp.img

3. Copy downloaded ROM to your phone memory.
4. Boot into TWRP and Wipe “Data”.
5. Now install ROM.
6. Reboot in system.
