Install Android 7.0 MIUI 8.2.1.0 ROM on Xiaomi Mi4S

To flash official Android 7.0 Nougat ROM on your Mi4S device you’ll need:

• Installed TWRP Recovery.
• Downloaded Android 7.0 ROM.
• Downloaded TWRP Recovery for Android 7.0.

1. Boot in TWRP Custom Recovery.
2. Install > Select downloaded Android 7.0 ROM and wipe “Cache” / “Dalvik cache”.
3. Without booting into system, go back to TWRP main menu and install TWRP for 7.0
4. Now get back to TWRP main menu, go to “Reboot” and select “Reboot into recovery”.
5. In the new TWRP select “Restart” > “System” and reboot into system.
6. First startup will take longer than usual.
7. Now you’ve got installed Android 7.0, TWRP Custom Recovery and all data is saved.
8. In case of any problems, it’s recommended to wipe “Data” partitions.

Download Redmi 4X MIUI 8.2.1.0.MAMMIEA Global ROM

Redmi 4X MIUI 8.2.1.0 Global ROM for MiFlash

• Modem version: V034  (extracted from China Stable ROM 8.2.9.0).
• Stock recovery from China Stable 8.2.9.0.

It’s recommended to flash this ROM with unlock bootloader. If you proceed installation of this ROM version on locked Redmi 4X, there’s a possibility that you’ll get bootloop. For security reasons it is strongly recommended to attach your device to working Mi Account, this will help to restore your device in case of softbrick.

Redmi 4X MIUI 8.2.1.0 Global ROM for TWRP Custom Recovery

1. Download and unpack TWRP.zip to SD card or phone internal memory.
2. The path should be TWRP\BACKUPS\504c9aec7ce4\1970-01-10–08-23-41_MMB29M
3. Where “504c9aec7ce4” should be replaced with your device unique serial number. To find device serial number go to “Settings” > “General information”.
4. In TWRP main menu select “Wipe” > “Advanced”.
5. Wipe “Dalvik / ART Cache”, “Cache”, “System”, “Data”, “Cust”. Swipe to confirm.
6. Now go to “Restore” and select “System”, “Cust” and “Boot”. Swipe to confirm.
7. Reboot into system. You should now have MIUI 8.2.1.0.MAMMIEA installed on your Redmi 4X device.

If you’re upgrading from  8.2.0.2. to 8.2.1.0. you can skip “Cache” and “Data” partitions wipe, this way you’ll upgrade the system without deleting installed apps.
