How long will the POCO M5S get updates?

Are these files official?
Yes. Every download goes straight to Xiaomi’s servers (bigota.d.miui.com or Xiaomi’s Aliyun storage). We don’t host or modify the files. Compare the MD5 shown on the download page after downloading.
Recovery or Fastboot ROM: which one should I download?
Use the Recovery ROM to update without a PC and keep your data. Use the Fastboot ROM with Mi Flash to fix a bootloop, change region or do a clean install. It needs an unlocked bootloader and erases the phone.
