Fixing com.mediatek.selfregister error on Redmi Pro

  1. Go to the “Settings”
  2. Find “Permissions”
  3. Then press “Permissions” again
  4. Now we see a list of different types of permissions
  5. Right now we’re interested in two things: “Location” and “Phone” permissions
  6. First, we go to “Location”
  7. Now we see list of different applications. Press “three dots” icon at the top right corner and press Show system processes
  8. In the bottom of the list you’ll find the cherished “com.mediatek.selfregister”, now you just need to activate it
  9. Get back to the step #4 screen and go to “Phone” permissions
  10. Press “three dots” icon at the top right corner and press Show system processes
  11. Activate “com.mediatek.selfregister” again
  12. Congratulations, bug is fixed!
