Which ROM Does My POCO F1 Need?

Open Settings → About phone and look at the OS version. The two letters before XM at the end show your region:

Region Ends with Example
Global MIXM V12.0.3.0.QEJMIXM
Russia RUXM V12.0.3.0.QEJRUXM

Install a ROM of the same region your phone already runs. A different region needs an unlocked bootloader and a Fastboot ROM.

How to Install POCO F1 Firmware

Recovery ROM (no PC, keeps your data)

  1. Download the Recovery ROM (.zip) for your region and move it to the root of the internal storage.
  2. Open Settings → About phone, tap the OS version card, then the three dots → Choose update package.
  3. Select the ZIP and wait until the phone installs it and reboots.

Fastboot ROM (PC, clean install)

  1. Unlock the bootloader first: HyperOS bootloader unlock guide.
  2. Install ADB, Fastboot and USB drivers and Mi Flash Tool.
  3. Extract the .tgz with 7-Zip, boot the phone into Fastboot (Power + Volume Down) and check the codename with fastboot getvar product: it must say beryllium.
  4. Select the ROM folder in Mi Flash, choose Clean all and click Flash.

Warning: never use Clean all and lock with a ROM from a different region or with any modified software. Re-locking a mismatched phone makes it unbootable.
