In this post we are going to cover a few instructions and different methods on how you can easily switch between Global ROM different versions without unlocking the bootloader on your Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC Android device.
Flashing Global ROM on Xiaomi POCO X3 NFC using MiFlash Pro
The process of installation is very straight-forward. First of all, download latest version of MiFlash Pro here and install on your phone. This tool will help you to easily find and download required ROM version for your device.
Start the MiFlash Pro tool and open ROM Packages, next find your phone device model (POCO X3 NFC in our case).
Click on “Settings” in the menu to select the path for downloading.
Wait until the required ROM is fully downloaded.
Reboot your device into recovery mode.
In MiFlash Pro select “Connect with MiAssistant” and connect your device to PC via USB cable.
In MiFlash Pro open the “Recovery” tab and you’ll see the information about your device, like IMEI code, currently installed ROM version and latest available ROM.
Click on “three dots” icon and locate the archive with previously downloaded firmware.
Wait until the file check is completed.
Click on “Flash” button and ROM installation process should start.
After installation is completed your phone will automatically reboot.
Switching between Global Firmware on a POCO X3 NFC with locked bootloader
Pay attention, if the installation stuck on 5% or 90% percentage, do not remove USB and do not exit! Just wait until the process is completed. In case you see a message that unlocked bootloader is required, then try to restarting XiaomiTool software, also you can try different versions in case of this issue.
Disable USB debugging on your phone.
Download and install XiaomiTool, start the tool and select the corresponding region.
Connect your phone to PC.
Confirm the connection and find your device in XiaomiTool interface window.
Your phone should reboot in fastboot mode.
Once Recovery mode is opened, select “Connect With MiAssistant”.
Select “Xiaomi Official Firmware” and the list of available firmware versions should start to load.
Select the Global ROM from the list.
You’ll see a warning that all data will be removed during the process.
Firmware should start downloading.
After download is finished, reboot into recovery, select “Connect with MiAssistant” and wait until the firmware is fully installed.
In the end you’ll see a successful message and your phone will automatically reboot with the new ROM installed.
Download Recovery ROM version manually, then copy downloaded archive to the folder with XiaomiTool, for ex. “C:\Xiaomi\XiaomiTool2\res\tmp”.
Open XiaomiTool and select “Local Official ROM File” and then locate the previously copied file. Installation should start.
